Hello lovelies, Let me start by apologizing for not writing regularly this month. I somehow made it through the avalanche of assignments this week in college and found time to work around this Pre winter look. The temperature has been dropping over the week and the sun sets by 4 in the evening. Winter my friends is coming! and thanks to the amazing winter collection here in stores I am not complaining. I love wearing dresses and was wondering how can I pick the ones that work in cold weather. You cannot go wrong with wool there. I picked this Maroon Woolen sweater dress from Primark and paired it with polka dot Stockings from there as well. Because its pretty close necked I did not wear a scarf over it but if you have a slightly open dress that should look great. I styled it with my favorite Tan sling bag from Accessorize and a super cute black winter cap from H&M. Accessories don’t work well with wool so keep it simple.I would suggest if you have a nice patterned black stockings , show them off by wearing ankle length boots with this look. My boots are from Pavers England but you will find similar ones in Aldo. Will try something new and write again real soon! Till then Adios.
This weekend I had a chance to visit New York and in the excitement for the coming week (Diwali), I chose to celebrate my ethnicity in this culturally diverse & fast paced city. Anarkalis are the perfect outfits to rely on for social functions when you want to neither understate nor overstate. Like my scarves, I think a Duppata should make a statement by itself and so I chose a Creme colored Anarkali with a Black and white Batik print silk duppata and Hot pink and Black border with Gottapatti work from Seasons . I styled it with Black and gold earrings with pearl danglers to compliment the dress and rounded the look with black and gold heels from Charles & Keith.
Its a cold day but you want to look your best at work today. That client who visits the town once a month is here and there is no way you can afford to look anything less than absolutely charming. It can be tricky to keep it stylish when the weather won’t co-operate with you. To keep it stylish yet professional I took my formal white shirt with a black collar from New York & co. and paired it with this Aztec print woolen pencil skirt from Primark . Pencil skirts are knee length so its best to have booties that are ankle length to compliment them. My fur rimmed booties are from Pavers England. To finish the look I added a hint of bling with my Grey sling bag from River Island. In terms of accessories I would suggest you stick to pearl. Nothing makes a better style statement than pearl with white apparel in a professional setting. What better way to have a fun productive day?? …Keep reading girls! Much love <3
College has kept me on my toes and I wanted to work around a look that is easy to assemble in a short time. When you have a busy day ahead and you are already late, This is the look you want to opt for.Its Fall and to keep myself warm I went for a maroon polo neck top from Primark and paired it with a nude color skirt from Forever 21. Fringe is in everything these days from jackets to boots. I fell head over heels for this tan backpack from Miss Bennett London the first time I saw it.It has a nice Boho feel to it and can be paired with almost anything. To sum up the look I threw in a pair of Tan colored combat boots from Charlotte Russe .The fur lined boots look really hip and keep you warm all at the same time I styled the look only by adding a brown belt from Primark as well. On a busy day its good to keep it simple..keep it casual.
Fall brings with it a chance to don those warm scarves that have been hiding in the closet for some time now. I personally have a fascination for scarves that make a statement by themselves and I pair them up with an understated outfit. I bought this sexy monochrome maxi dress from Fashion Nova and the envelope clutch is a Dorothy Perkins ( bought from Jabong.com ) which works perfectly well with this attire. This scarf which I think is one of the best things I own is a Jas Sandhu creation and will be available at Mitandio. In one of my trips to Hyderabad I stumbled upon her work and absolutely loved it. To round up the look I accessorized it with neutral shade of Kundan earrings. I think kundan reeks of elegance and there could have not been a better match for this look. It gives us that extra edge when we experiment with something that is not always the most obvious choice and incorporate it in our day to day fashion. I didn’t want to take attention away from the rest of the look so I wore a pair of Plain black Marshalls ballet sandals. If you feel heels are more you then you should totally go with that.
Fall has officially arrived and its the perfect time to embrace prints with darker hues. Club a nice printed short dress with black stockings and boots. Its my first fall and I couldn’t be more excited to be wearing boots. Try pairing your short dress with knee length boots or an interesting pair of ankle length boots should look great too. This look is perfect for a casual day, I wore this look to college. I have been away from home for a while now and all the missing made me infuse a bit of Indian into my outfit by adding a pair of Jhumkas. This look will do just enough justice to any daytime outdoor event. I picked this Aztec print dress from Forever 21 and the boots from Peter England.
